Description

The Alcat 250 Food Panel is a comprehensive laboratory test that measures immune reactions to 250 commonly consumed foods, herbs, spices, and other substances. By analyzing the activation of white blood cells (leukocytes) when exposed to these items, this test helps identify food sensitivities that may contribute to symptoms such as digestive discomfort, headaches, fatigue, joint pain, and skin issues.

Unlike immediate food allergies, which are IgE-mediated, food sensitivities are often delayed immune responses, making them difficult to identify without specialized testing. This panel offers valuable insights to help guide personalized dietary and lifestyle changes for improved health and wellness.

Note: This test cannot be ordered for patients younger than six months of age.
