Description
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is a common vaginal infection that can cause the following symptoms:
- Strong, fishy odor: This is the most common symptom and may be especially noticeable after sex.
- Abnormal vaginal discharge: This may be thin, watery, gray, white, or yellow in color.
- Itching or burning: This can occur in the genital area.
- Pain during urination or intercourse: This is less common.
- Vaginal redness or swelling: This is rare.
