Description

A CCP IgG and IgA blood test, also known as a cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody test, helps diagnose and assess rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The test looks for the presence of CCP antibodies in the blood. 

Purpose

• Diagnosing RA: The test can help diagnose RA or rule it out. 
• Assessing severity: The test can help doctors predict how a patient's RA will progress. 
• Differentiating RA: The test can help distinguish RA from other inflammatory arthritis or connective tissue diseases.
