Description
The Childhood Allergy Profile with Reflexes is a blood test that measures a child’s IgE antibodies to a panel of common allergens.
If a positive reaction is detected to certain allergens—such as milk, egg, or peanut—the test automatically performs additional component testing. This helps provide a more detailed understanding of the allergy and potential triggers.
Allergens Included in This Panel
- Fungi & Mold: Alternaria, Cladosporium herbarum
- Insects & Pets: German cockroach, Cat epithelium, Dog dander
- Dust Mites: Dermatophagoides farinae, Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus
- Foods: Cod fish, Shrimp, Soybean, Walnut, Wheat
- Common Pediatric Allergens with Reflex Testing:
- Peanut IgE (with reflex to peanut components)
- Milk IgE (with reflex)
- Egg white IgE (with reflex)
Fasting: Not required.
