Description
Targeted fungal testing for dental, sinus, and head-related symptoms.
The Fungal Insight Panel is designed to uncover hidden fungal burden, immune activation, and inflammatory patterns that may contribute to chronic dental and sinus issues. This panel is especially useful when symptoms persist despite normal imaging or routine labs.
Why This Panel Exists
Fungal involvement is often overlooked in conditions affecting the head and oral region. Patients with chronic sinus congestion, failed root canals, cavitations, or mold exposure may have underlying fungal and inflammatory drivers that standard testing does not detect.
This panel evaluates:
- Candida immune response
- Circulating fungal biomarkers
- Chronic inflammation
- Microcirculatory stress
What’s Included
Candida Antibody Panel (IgG, IgM, IgA)
Evaluates immune response to Candida species.
- IgG reflects longer-term exposure
- IgM may indicate recent activation
- IgA reflects mucosal immunity (oral and sinus relevance)
Fungitell® (1,3 Beta-D-Glucan)
A widely used marker for systemic fungal exposure. Detects circulating fungal cell wall components that may indicate fungal involvement beyond the mouth or sinuses.
Fibrinogen
A key inflammatory and coagulation marker.
Elevated levels may be associated with:
- Dental cavitations
- Chronic infections
- Mold exposure
- Biofilm-related illness
Higher fibrinogen may also suggest reduced microcirculation in jawbone and sinus tissues, which can impair healing.
Complete Blood Count (CBC)
Provides an overview of immune system patterns, including:
- Eosinophils
- Neutrophils
- Lymphocyte balance
Helpful for identifying chronic immune activation.
Sedimentation Rate (ESR)
A non-specific but useful marker of long-standing inflammation. Adds context when evaluating chronic head, sinus, or dental symptoms.
Who This Panel Is For
This panel may be helpful if you experience:
- Chronic sinus pressure or congestion
- Recurrent sinus infections
- Multiple root canals
- Dental cavitation concerns
- Burning mouth syndrome
- Chronic bad breath without clear cause
- Brain fog with head pressure
- Mold exposure with head-related symptoms
