Description
Ovarian reserve testing is a series of blood tests that assess the health of a woman's ovaries and her fertility. It can help predict how well a woman will respond to fertility treatments like in vitro fertilization (IVF).
The following test are included:
Anti-mullerian hormone (AMH)
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)
Estradiol
Fasting not required.
Additional information about each test is listed below:
Anti-mullerian hormone (AMH): A blood test that measures the amount of AMH in the blood. AMH levels correlate with the number of eggs a woman has.
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH): A blood test that measures the level of FSH in the blood. High FSH levels may indicate low ovarian reserve.
Estradiol: A blood test that measures the level of estradiol in the blood.
