Description
A "proxy fetal sex test," often referred to as the "Sonic ProXY Fetal Sex Test," is a non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT) that uses a blood sample from a pregnant woman to determine the sex of the fetus by analyzing the presence of Y-chromosome DNA, essentially acting as a "proxy" for the baby's sex by detecting male DNA circulating in the mother's blood; it can be done as early as 8 weeks of gestation and utilizes PCR technology for accurate results.
