Description
Deep Insights. Proactive Wellness. Personalized Health Monitoring.
The Wellness Women’s Comprehensive Blood Panel is a powerful diagnostic tool that provides a full-body snapshot of a woman’s health. It goes beyond the basics—offering insights into blood health, metabolic function, hormonal balance, thyroid function, and nutrient levels.
Even in the absence of symptoms, regular testing of these biomarkers can reveal early warning signs and help prevent future health complications. It’s an ideal panel for women focused on prevention, wellness optimization, or managing changes during hormonal transitions like perimenopause or menopause.
What’s Included in the Panel?
Complete Blood Count (CBC) with Differential
- Purpose: Measures red and white blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelets.
- Why It’s Important: A key indicator of anemia, immune response, and blood disorders. The differential helps identify the types of white blood cells present, offering deeper insight into possible infections or inflammatory conditions.
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
- Purpose: Assesses blood glucose, electrolytes, liver enzymes, and kidney function.
- Why It’s Important: Vital for evaluating metabolic and organ health. It can help detect early signs of diabetes, liver disease, or kidney dysfunction, all of which often present no early symptoms.
Hemoglobin A1C
- Purpose: Reflects average blood glucose levels over the past 2–3 months.
- Why It’s Important: Crucial for diabetes screening and long-term blood sugar control. High A1C levels indicate insulin resistance or poor glucose regulation, increasing the risk of heart and nerve complications.
Lipid Panel (Cholesterol Test)
- Purpose: Measures total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides.
- Why It’s Important: These are essential biomarkers of cardiovascular health. Elevated LDL and triglycerides or low HDL levels increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. Early detection allows for meaningful intervention.
Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
- Purpose: Evaluates how well your thyroid is functioning.
- Why It’s Important: An imbalance can result in weight fluctuations, fatigue, depression, or anxiety. Abnormal TSH may indicate hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism—conditions that affect metabolism and mood.
Free T4 (Thyroxine)
- Purpose: Measures unbound thyroxine levels in the blood.
- Why It’s Important: Works alongside TSH to provide a more complete picture of thyroid function. Important for identifying hidden thyroid dysfunction that may not show up with TSH alone.
Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) & Luteinizing Hormone (LH)
- Purpose: Assesses reproductive hormone levels.
- Why It’s Important: Helps diagnose issues like PCOS, irregular menstrual cycles, ovarian insufficiency, or menopause. FSH and LH are key markers of fertility and hormonal balance.
Testosterone
- Purpose: Evaluates androgen hormone levels in women.
- Why It’s Important: Both low and high testosterone can affect libido, mood, energy, and muscle mass. Tracking testosterone is particularly helpful during perimenopause or hormonal therapy evaluations.
Vitamin B12 & Folate
- Purpose: Assesses levels of these essential nutrients.
- Why It’s Important: Deficiencies can lead to anemia, fatigue, nerve dysfunction, and cognitive decline. These are critical for DNA synthesis, brain health, and immune function.
Fasting Required
For the most accurate results—especially for lipid and glucose-related biomarkers—fast for at least 8–12 hours prior to testing. You may drink water during the fast.
