Description
Evaluating one's immunity is key to helping us avoid the ever-growing number of infectious diseases. Our white blood cells are the primary means of fighting off infection. A minimal evaluation is to determine our white blood count and the type white blood cells that we have. Different white blood cells are involved in fighting different infections and other processes associated with our immune system.
CBC Test or Complete Blood Count with Differential is a test used to measure common blood abnormalities. This is one of the most common tests used to monitor overall health status.
CBC measures certain blood cells such as Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, and Platelets and seeks to explain a variety of conditions and/or diseases, such as anemia, leukemia, and infections. A CBC is also used in the evaluation of symptoms such as fatigue, weakness or bruising.
Fasting not required.
