Description
A rabies antibody titer test measures the level of antibodies in a person's blood to determine how well they are protected from rabies:
A rabies titer test measures the level of antibodies in a person's blood to determine if they are still protected from rabies after receiving a vaccination. The test is not intended to determine if someone has been exposed to or infected with rabies. A titer level of at least 0.5 IU/mL is considered an adequate response to vaccination. If a person's titer level is below this, they may need a booster vaccine.
Fasting not required.
