Collection Guidelines & Preparation

For Men & Non-Menstruating Women:

  • Test can be performed on any day.

For Women with Regular Menstrual Cycles:

  • Collect on Day 19, 20, or 21 of your cycle (Day 1 = first day of your period).

For Women with Irregular Cycles:

  • Collect on a non-bleeding day, ideally near Day 19–21.

If You’re Using Hormone Supplements:

  • Daily patch: Collect 12–24 hours after application
  • Cream, gel, spray, or pill: Collect 12–24 hours after last dose
  • Sublingual or troche: Wait 36 hours after last dose
  • Weekly patch or injection: Speak with your provider

Saliva Collection Instructions:

Before collection (2 hours):

No eating, drinking, brushing teeth, or consuming caffeine/alcohol

When collecting:

Rinse mouth with water 15 minutes before each collection

Wash hands thoroughly

Let saliva naturally pool into the collection tube (no phlegm)

Fill each tube to the marked line and seal tightly

Label each tube with:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Date & time of collection

Storage:

Refrigerate samples until ready to ship. Do not freeze.
