Description
Thyroglobulin receptor antibodies (TgAb) are antibodies that attack the thyroglobulin proteins in the thyroid gland. They are a marker for autoimmune thyroid disease, which can cause an underactive (hypothyroid) or overactive (hyperthyroid) thyroid.
Thyroglobulin receptor antibodies (TRAb) are autoantibodies that inhibit the proper activity of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH). TSH is a hormone that regulates thyroid function by stimulating thyroid growth and the production and secretion of thyroid hormones. TRAb is primarily associated with Grave's disease.
Fasting not required.
