Description

Mycotoxins Test — Comprehensive Mold Toxin Exposure Panel

Overview

An at-home urine test that quantitatively assesses exposure to a wide range of mycotoxins (toxic compounds produced by mold and fungi). This panel helps identify hidden toxin burden, supports detoxification strategies, and offers insight into how mold exposure may be contributing to chronic symptoms and inflammation.

What the Test Measures

  • Aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, G2, M1)
  • Trichothecenes (deoxynivalenol, T-2 toxin, satratoxins, etc.)
  • Other Mycotoxins & Fungal Metabolites (ochratoxin A, fumonisins, gliotoxin, sterigmatocystin, zearalenone, and more)

This broad panel captures 29 toxic compounds produced by mold and fungi.

Who Might Benefit

Consider this test if you experience:

  • Unexplained fatigue, brain fog, or cognitive slowing
  • Frequent headaches, sinus congestion, or light sensitivity
  • Digestive complaints such as bloating or diarrhea
  • Recurrent skin rashes or chemical/food sensitivities
  • Muscle weakness, joint pain, or neurological symptoms
  • A history of mold exposure or living in a water-damaged environment

How It Works

Sample Type: Urine (collected at home)

Process & Guidelines:

  1. Order & activate kit
  2. Collect first-morning urine sample (before food or drink)
  3. Avoid overhydration just before collection (≤ 8 oz water within 1 hour)
  4. Ship the sample to the lab as instructed
  5. Results ready in approximately 7–10 business days

Pre-test notes:

  • Fasting is not required, but a 12-hour fast may improve toxin detectability.
  • Some providers may recommend a provoking agent (e.g. NAC, DMSA, EDTA) prior to collection to enhance release of toxins.
  • No special dietary restrictions unless directed by your clinician.

Benefits & Value

  • Detects hidden mold toxin exposure early
  • Supports detoxification and wellness protocols with precise toxin identification
  • Helps in differential diagnosis of chronic, unexplained illnesses
  • Provides actionable insights to guide personalized treatment
